This whole Snap Names thing is a scam. I had my eye on an “amost free” domain. Well, I thought I'd give the service a shot. I hadn't heard in a week or so and when I checked on the domain, it was available. Sure enough, Snap Names never notified me. In fact, according to the unsolicited spam that I keep getting from them, the domain is still not available – although it's in my name! Ugh – I can't stand pathetic marketing gimmics with no basis.
